32x27x8,9 mm, bearing, bronze gunmetal
oversize (smaller in nerdiameter)
From the Vespa 98 through to the Vespa 125 VN1 (->6000) PIAGGIO included a ball bearing for the kickstarter shaft. This was replaced by a slider bush from the Vespa 125 VN1 (6001->) model, which required being pressed into position under slight pressure.
These items have become as rare as raw steak and often, if at all available, produced using the wrong type of bronze alloy. We now have them available in high quality, made in Germany. The material consists of genuine gunmetal, which is ideal for this type of gearbox oil lubricated slider bush.
There are two versions of this bush available:
Version 'A' with the standard nominal size, plug and play in combination with a drive shaft in a serviceable or new condition, such as the version produced by PINASCO (#26270932). Version 'B' has a narrower internal diameter of 27mm, is therefore slightly smaller and is ideal for combination with older, used drive shafts where the bearing seat is worn or even requires machining to match the bush. This involved gearbox solution should ideally be precisely machined on a lathe for a perfect fit. The slider bush manufacturers recommend a 0.05-0.01mm clearance between the shaft and the bush.
Detailed instructions to enable this job are included in the delivery.
